If J is repeating a word but doesn’t know what it means, does it count as his first word?

-J has thrush.  His purple goth lips provided by the treatment, Gentian Violet.

-I made dog biscuits!

-J got his first self-inflicted injury from exploring the house.  (Please note that he is not dirty, but still has the goth lips as seen above, and is eating a baby cookie and not one of the dog treats!)

Can you see that tiny red speck there above his lip?  Yep, there it is.

Don’t get me wrong, I love him no matter what.  But this is definitely easier to miss! 

Today we went to target to get some new toys.  Bath toys!  Tonight was J’s first big boy bath (before this we have just been taking him into the shower with us).  Although it did not go terribly, it did not go well.

He was not really sure what to do and what the hell was happening to him.  So, he was cranky.

He was so upset at first that Jazz, who is not a fan of baths and the tub, jumped in to save him!  G and I were shocked.  And he stayed in the bath the whole time with J, watching us to make sure that we weren’t doing anything mean to the baby.  I did not understand just how much Jazz protects J until that moment.

This week (see here, here and here for previous fun missed) I miss out on playing with my family (including my sister!) in Portland and having lunch at Red Robin.

Here is J, very concerned about which cracker he will eat next.  It is a hard decision!

This week’s recipe was chosen by Rachel of Confessions of a Tangerine Tart (go there for the recipe).  This was one of the first recipes that really stood out for me when I first flipped through the book, so I was excited to try them out!

Overall, I really like these cookies.  I was a little disappointed about how the whoppers became chewy after baking, but otherwise, nothing but chocolaty, yummy goodness.

I really like these cookies and they are tasty.  I am pretty sure I added peanut butter to the dough, but I cannot taste it at all.  I love peanut butter so that is very dissapointing to me.  But I do think that they cookies will get eaten, whether we can taste the peaunut butter or not.
